Meet The Team

Founder & CEO

Luke McClure

Luke’s construction career first sparked in his high school freshman year with a CADD elective course, not knowing just how useful it would become. As a result of that experience, he began working summers for a residential construction company owned by his best friend’s dad and continued all the way through the end of high school. Once graduated, he had enough experience to secure a full-time position as a Forman within that company. The workload provided him with valuable on-site construction experience and paid his way through college studying architecture, building code, CADD, and 3D Studio. Building custom homes while studying the science of designing and engineering of large structures proved useful. Luke’s ability to read plans thoroughly and be able to communicate planned drawings to others on his team became a notably strength and he became an astute student of the and building techniques and strategies, and the history of building styles. He then secured an apprenticeship under a small architectural firm led by a gentleman named Bill Hammond. There he learned that he had developed a passion for the physical act of building as much as the drafting arts. At 20, Luke took a position working closely with his father, who is one of many contractors in his bloodline. His father was employed as the Project Manager of the largest hospital projects in Durango, Colorado. Senior McClure saw Luke’s potential and made the learning curve sharp and concise. Well into the project, Luke’s father underwent debilitating surgery leaving Luke with the responsibility to take the lead the $25 million Mercy Regional Medical Center project for 4 months during his recovery. That experience gave Luke the ability to develop problem solving skills and mitigate risk. Ultimately his performance was stellar, and he was promoted officially to Assistant Project Manager, then quickly to Project Manager by the age of 22. As a large site manager, the young McClure tackled projects ranging from $10 million dollar churches to $50 million medical facilities. He returned to California in 2008, where he accepted a position as a Chief Estimator and became instrumental in securing contracts for a restoration company, L&S Turnkey Construction in Temecula. He oversaw warranty and litigation issues for Ryland Homes, taking on residential and commercial large loss projects. This position required working closely with insurance, mortgage companies as well as meeting with city building personnel, safety officials, and law firms. The company grew from a seedling start up to a $15 million a year income in 7 years and blossomed until he left to start Iconik Builders in 2015. “Iconik Builders was always destined to be a Design Build construction company with a specialization in the hospitality, food and beverage, and retail sector. The fact that Iconik Builders Inc. has grown stronger and matured through some of the strangest and most challenging economic times in the history of modern times is a testament to the strength of the company and the exceptional employees that I have the honor to work alongside. I am equally proud of the product that this company has provided to its wonderful clientele and will always maintain our quality of work be the #1 priority. The passion I have for the development of art and skill will never waver. Not only will I always strive to keep our target on goals to be the best there is.” Luke McClure
